About Us

We are looking for a Financial Analyst for our company Somon Teknoloji, based in Istanbul.

Somon Teknoloji is a mobile development company founded in 2019. We develop mobile apps in the lifestyle category that aim to self-help and empower our users. And millions of people are already loving it! Kismet, one of the most popular lifestyle apps worldwide with 20+ million downloads and ~2 million unique monthly users.

And now, we want to keep growing and develop other mobile applications that will be used globally.

 

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of monthly financial statements and monthly data sets like P&L reports, monthly closing reports, income, cash flow, detailed expense table, and balance sheet
  • Understand the financial drivers of the business model & be the Finance contact
  • Work closely with co-founders & the accountant on all financial matters
  • Prepare analyses/reports regarding strategy and strategic projects
  • Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
  • Work in coordination with the financial audit processes
  • Act as the main point of contact for budget related issues
  • Undertake other ad hoc assignments as required
  • Make company related payments
  • Continuously improve accounting infrastructure to create maximum efficiency in the financial reporting and budget process

 

Expectations

  • English is a must
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Economics, Engineering, Management) / MBA is a plus
  • 1-2 years of experience in financial control and reporting at an Independent Audit Company
  • Good business sense, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Disciplined & a self-starter attitude
  • Excellent command of MS Office programs & Google Workspace
